My teaching journey began during my time at university when I started working for a tech education company in my summer break. I delivered 5-day coding camps to groups of up to 8, with ages from 8-17 over different weeks. Over a few years with the company I taught a wide range of exciting courses. From Python coding and games, Virtual and Augmented Reality and Robotics, to Electronics and Digital Music Production. This was mainly based in London but also took me to H-Farm near Venice, Italy to deliver workshops, and to Oman for a prestigious National Youth Programme. I have also taught GCSE Maths and Physics privately and via MyTutor. In addition, I currently work for the green energy company Ecotricity.
After graduating from Imperial I first worked as an analyst in the City of London before returning to teach in technology camps and to work as a private tutor. I also travelled extensively while continuing to teach. If interested you can see more about my travels here.
This time has built my passion for teaching and helped me to develop many skills. Following on from these experiences I continue to search for ways improve my teaching methods. I hope to build more successful partnerships and help my students find success. I find it incredibly rewarding to see the success of my pupils after hard work and patience.
During 2019 I was based in Colombia where alongside my 1-to-1 classes I became an English Advisor for a large government project in collaboration with the Technological University of Pereira.
